Personal Plan Coverage Details

Members, Spouses and Partners
The person signing up for the plan (the Member) as well as the member's spouse or partner are covered.
Never-married dependent children of the member or member's spouse, under 26 years of age who are permanent residents of the member's household or full-time students are covered, as well as Dependent children under age 18 for whom the member or member's spouse is the legal guardian. Any dependent child, regardless of age, who is physically disabled or mentally incapacitated and unable to make legally binding decisions, unable to be employed, 51% or more financially dependent upon the member and member's spouse and lives at home with the member or member's spouse are covered too.
Provide Advice by Phone
You can always speak with your attorney to get legal advice on an unlimited number of personal legal matters in any area of law, including pre-existing issues. Your attorney will speak with you for as long as he/she believes is necessary to adequately advise you on the matter in question. Also, if necessary, your attorney will provide up to one hour of legal research on each matter, for no additional fee.
Write Letters or Make Phone Calls On Your Behalf
If after the phone consultation your attorney determines that a letter or phone call from them would help you resolve the legal issue, they will write one letter or make one phone call on your behalf. If additional phone calls or letters from the attorney are needed, they will be provided at 25% off the attorney’s hourly rates.
You may submit any personal legal document up to 15 pages or less that’s related to the legal issue being discussed so long as you or one of your covered family members is party to the contract. Your attorney will review the document and advise you by phone about any areas of concern and the legal implications. Their goal is to arm you with the information you need to resolve the situation. Should you choose to have the attorney engage in extensive negotiation on your behalf, those services are available at 25% off their standard hourly rate.

As a LegalShield member, you’ll be entitled to receive significant discounts and savings from a variety of popular brands you probably already use. Additional Information and Limitations
At this point you may be in one of two places. Either you’re ready to join LegalShield to start saving money and reducing stress or you have a few lingering questions. One of the top questions we get from prospective members is “will my exact legal situation really be covered by the standard member benefits?”
As mentioned above, everything is covered one way or the other. Certain complicated situations may require additional legal services which are provided at a generous 25% discount off the attorney’s standard hourly fee. If you’re still not sure you’ll be covered by the standard benefits or just want additional details, there are three main ways to get the information.
